Cole and Maria by Jamilah

I don't know where to begin about my amazing friend, Jamilah. We met in middle school and became tennis partners in high school. Jamilah, is the kind of person that always has a beautiful, happy smile spread across her gorgeous face. You can't help but share in the joy that radiates off of her. After not seeing each other since our high school graduation, we were able to reconnect through the miracle of the internet and facebook.

Jamilah's been a big supporter of my blog from the beginning of my fashion escapades and I was able to help her navigate some tricky blog layouts. Being both a full time teacher, professional photographer and newly wed in Florida, Jamilah has a very busy schedule. So I was incredibly honored that she and her husband, Dave, wanted to spend a hot July evening, of her vacation time visiting family, to take some photos of Cole and me.

Every time Jamilah posts new photos on her blog, I am stunned speechless. Each wedding, graduation, engagement (you name it) has such a personal touch that you feel like you know the people she's capturing. I seriously can't get over how amazing of a photographer she is and how lucky I feel to have been able to work with her. Again, Thank You So Much, Jamilah! You are the best.

Now for her incredible photos...

Garance first introduced us to Cédric Bihr when she randomly struck up a conversation with him on the sidewalks of NYC. Quite quickly she found out that he too was French and also an amazing photographer. Oh, how I love funny little coincidences like that.

When Anna, of Much Love, posted some of Annabel Mehran's mesmerizing work, I knew I needed to explore further. There is something about these photos that makes me want to curl up by the fire with a cup of cocoa.

P.S. Saw New Moon yesterday morning, and I think I was probably one of the youngest people in the theater. I was afraid I would be the oldest! Ha! Anyways, the movie was amazing and so much better than Twilight. It definitely didn't disappoint. Going to see it again tonight with Cole and my in-laws!!
